==Early life==
Gesiotto was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Growing up, she attended Jackson Local Schools in Massillon, Ohio and trained as a competitive figure skater in Lakewood, Ohio at The Winterhurst Figure Skating Club. Gesiotto's coach, Olympic Champion and former actress Carol Heiss, led Gesiotto to reach the highest level of figure skating. In 2010, she passed her gold/senior tests in free skating and moves-in-the-field, the highest tests in figure skating required to compete in The Olympic Games.〔
